I partnered with several notable authors to develop, experiment, prove concepts and edit books during those early days of web design and development.
Creating distributed collaboration and knowledge sharing environments which shared information across the internet before most people had browsers. Peter Small and a group of us used a tool called Macromedia Director and artificial intelligence algorithms to create virtual “cafes” where people could gather share knowledge, jointly answer questions and solve problems back in the days of dial-up internet connections. I sure wish we’d wrapped some IP around that idea 🙂

I was the technical editor on the first edition of this ground breaking book giving direction to a generation of early web designers to learn some of the evolving techniques and principles around this burgeoning field. Lynda was an inspiration and thought leader to many and went on to share these techniques and many others on her wildly successful site Lynda.com
